Client: Landesgartenschau Würzburg 2018 GmbH
Team: Nadja Mayer, Siri Poarangan, Oliver Selzer
Awards: Berline Type Diplom 2018, German Design Award 2020

Orangegrün aims to attune visitors to the ambitious scope of the Landesgartenschau (State Garden Show) Würzburg 2018 – with informative articles, features and interviews on topics such as tiny houses, bee health, urban gardening and children in public spaces. At the same time, it pays tribute to the rich history of the former military conversion site, which is set to become a new residential, living and working quarter after the garden show.

The magazine targets nature and culture enthusiasts, regular garden show visitors, families, students, older people – in short: everyone.

Orangegrün bridges divides, both formally and in content. Between flower show and think tank. Between backyard allotment and global responsibility. Between DIY and high tech. Between orange and green. The magazine’s strong visual language leaves no doubt that knowledge and engagement can also be a lot of fun.
